Meadowgreen Community

The community of Meadowgreen is located in Saskatoon. The area was formally named Meadowgreen in the mid 1970's when the area south of 18th Street was developed. Prior to the 1970s the area was part of Pleasant Hill. The formal boundaries are 22nd Street to the north, Circle Drive to the west, Avenue W to the east and the railroad tracks to the south. There are approximately 4000 residents in Meadowgreen. Meadowgreen Community Association is a registered non-profit organization.

City Council approves increase to Group Home

Meadowgreen Community Association attended City Council November 30 to speak against the expansion to the Eagle Nest Group Home. Council Lorje, representing Ward 2, spoke in favour of the expansion and also voted in favour of increasing the number of Residents from 5 to 8. Councillors Heidt and Paulson abstained from the vote. Councillor Dubois was not present.
